Quería compartir hoy con vosotr@s este gran salón comedor porque hay muchas cosas que me han llamado la atención en él, empezando por la paleta de colores elegida: una preciosa combinación de verde seco, rosa oscuro y blanco. Textiles lisos combinados con flores, una mesa de comedor de madera a la que han pintado el sobre de blanco para ilumine y realce el rosa elegido para la tapicería de las sillas. Me encanta la minúscula entrada, una prolongación del salón, separada por ese pequeño murete, con su pequeña lámpara de techo vintage. Por supuesto, me encanta el gran espejo dorado que tan bien combina con el mueble de estilo oriental. Y la araña de techo, y la colección de platos de la pared, y el perchero diseñado por el genial Georges Nelson de la entrada…
Today I want to fill the blog with pink, green and white, the color palette used in this makeover. I’m loving the textiles combining solid colors with floral and geometrical prints, the chandelier, the collection of china plates on the wall, the small entrance hall with the small vintage light fixture and the famous Georges Nelson coat rack, the huge gilded mirror by the oriental styled console… don’t you think this place is a great place to spend hours and hours??

Y es que la artista escocesa de Glasgow Liz Eeuwes se ha inspirado en la belleza a vista de pájaro de los campos de arroz balineses, de las praderas y montañas de su tierra y en los multicolores campos de tulipanes -holandeses, intuyo- para crear estos tres modelos de alfombras. Piezas únicas hechas a mano, nudo a nudo, elaboradas con lana neozelandesa de la mayor calidad y que sirve bajo pedido tras un laborioso proceso de fabricación de 14 semanas. Os dejo investigando cuál es cuál… These colorful rugs have been designed by Glasgow based artist Liz Eeuwes. She uses the finest New Zealand wool to create each of these beskope pieces after a work of 14 weeks. They are made by hand, knot by knot… In her designs she is inspired by the beauty of the scottish countryside, the rice paddy terraces from Bali and the tulip fields (probably from Holland – if you’ve ever landed in a ducth airport, then you know what I’m talking about).
